Thammasat Student Organization Announcement to change the use of university songs instead of Yung Thong song
On June 6, Thammasat University Student Organization issued an announcement that “the university’s song “Mon Doo Dao” will be used instead of the royal song “Yung Thong”. in all activities organized by Thammasat University in accordance with the intention of making a referendum of students by stating that

for students to take part in determining the direction of the activities Especially in the selection of the university song, which is an important expression of the identity, origin and glorification of the university’s struggle history.
Thammasat University has conducted a referendum survey of the Thammasat community. There are 3 songs that have been selected, namely, the university song Mon Doo Dao, March TU, and the royal song Yung Thong. Of the more than 5,168 survey respondents, more than 51.9% chose the university song Mon Doo Dao.
Thammasat University therefore considers that it should be announced “University song Mon Doo Dao melody” instead of the royal song Yung Thong in all activities organized by Thammasat University in accordance with the spirit of the Thammasat community henceforth
