That event will no longer take place. BCCI with new policy

The biggest problem facing the Indian Premier League franchises is the last-minute withdrawal of foreign players from the tournament.
This was even more so after the Kovid crisis intensified.

When players retreat like this, it significantly affects the franchise. The BCCI has come up with a new policy to address this issue. Alex Hales of England from KKR and Jason Roy of England from Gujarat withdrew from the tournament earlier this season.

According to the report, the BCCI has come up with a policy to prevent players from withdrawing from the IPL unless there is a significant reason. Many players withdrew from the IPL for years due to non-serious reasons.

Before withdrawing from the new IPL, the governing council will look into the reasons put forward by the player. Only then will a player be allowed to withdraw.

Players who continue to withdraw like this will be banned from the league for a while. Only after further studies will it be possible to decide whether or not to ban. The BCCI is also considering the mental stress that players experience in these situations. This policy does not apply to players who retire due to international competition or injury. The BCCI takes seriously players who retire for reasons of spending time with family.
