The 12th generation Intel Core i9, Apple M1 Max performance PK power difference is incredible

The first batch of products equipped with the 12th generation Intel Core i9 processor has already met with you.

Now, some foreign media have made a performance comparison with Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pro (M1 Max processor) through the actual performance of MSI GE76.

According to the test, the Geekbench 5 multi-core running score of the GE76 equipped with the Core i9-12900HK is 12707, while the running score of the 16-inch MacBook Pro equipped with the M1 Max is 12244. Through the comparison of running points, it means that the performance of the Core i9-12900HK is 4% higher than that of the M1 Max.

When running the Cinebench R23 CPU test, the Core i9-12900HK consumes 100W, sometimes even 140W. For comparison, the MacBook Pro consumes only about 40W when running the same test. The huge difference in power consumption also results in different battery life performance between the two products, with the MacBook Pro performing even more prominently.
