“Despite a large-scale disaster in which 159 innocent lives were sacrificed, the government bravely apologized and did not back down.”

It is a plan to vote in the full meeting the day after tomorrow, but it is very likely to pass as it will be passed if the majority of the current members agree.

If the prosecution is passed, Minister Lee Sang-min’s duties will be suspended immediately.

The Constitutional Court must decide whether to cite it within 180 days, but the conclusion is difficult to predict.

In addition, the role of the prosecutor to explain the reasons for impeachment to the Constitutional Court is to be played by the chairman of the Judiciary of the National Assembly.

The current chairman is a member of the People’s Power Kim Do-eup, and the concern of the Democratic Party is that he could be passive in prosecution.

“I came to the conclusion that even if there were such difficulties, it did not mean that I was not doing what I had to do.”

Minister Lee Sang-min, who visited the National Assembly after the impeachment bill was introduced, made it clear that he had no intention of quitting.

“Why do you think the Minister should get a second chance when 159 victims are now not getting a second chance? Isn’t that too unfair?”

“The most important thing is to think of measures to prevent this from happening again…”

The power of the people protested that the impeachment requirement itself was not acceptable.

“I hate Minister Lee Sang-min. To be precise, I hate setting up a new police station, and I hate Minister Lee Sang-min who is stopping the Democratic Party from taking the police over.”

An official from the presidential office also said, “Legal experts have identified whether Minister Lee seriously violated the Constitution and the law.”
