The Coast Guard caught cannabis cultivation in the hallway of the daycare center, 19 people… 5 people arrested

The police arrested 19 people per day who grew marijuana, a narcotic drug, at a daycare center.

The Korea Coast Guard announced on the 2nd that it had arrested five people, including Mr. A (51), on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act, and booked 14 people, including Mr. B, a man in his 40s.

Person A and others are suspected of cultivating and inhaling 13 cannabis in the hallways and rooftops of the daycare center run by Mr. A’s family from March to July last year.

Mr. A has been growing hemp since August of the same year by transplanting the hemp grown at the daycare center to the public water surface adjacent to the tidal flat in Namdong-gu, Incheon, and planting additional seeds until recently. A’s family said in a police investigation, “I had no idea that A was growing marijuana. I thought it was a normal plant.” The Coast Guard obtained the intelligence in January of this year and launched an investigation. Incheon = Reporter Gong Seung-bae ksb@donga.com
