The Bhojpuri film industry has been booming for the past few years. The first Pan Indian movie is about to release from Bhojpuri. MP from Gorakhpur and mega star of Bhojpuri cinema Ravi Kishan Shukla’s film ‘Mahadev Ka Gorakhpur’ brought the Bhojpuri film industry to national prominence.
Rajesh Mohanan, the director of Thrissur Pooram starring Jayasuriya, is the director of ‘Mahadev Ka Gorakhpur’.
The shooting of the film is underway. Fans can see a different style of Ravi Kishan in ‘Mahadev Ka Gorakhpur’. The movie is releasing in Bhojpuri and is included among the big budget movies. The film will be released in 6 languages including Bhojpuri, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil.
Ravi Kishan Shukla says that this film will give Bhojpuri language a different identity in the world. Initially, the makers of the film wanted to shoot the film in Kerala. I asked them to shoot in Gorakhpur. They came here and liked this location. He also said that the name of this movie is very good.
More than 60 percent of the actors in this film are local people. People are getting employment through this film. Acting gets a boost. The South Indian team comes and works here and it is a source of pride for Gorakhpur and Purvanchal. The film will be shot from Gorakhpur, Nepal and Kushinagar. MP Ravi Kishan said that the budget of this film is between 12 to 15 crores and it will be the biggest budget film in the history of Bhojpuri.

The MP added that a local film industry would soon be formed to promote local artists.
