Hwang Seon-woo, who was adjusting his pace from behind the gates to the 150m point, performed a spurt at the last minute as if he had waited with the last 25m left, and won the championship with a wonderful comeback race.

Although it was 0.14 seconds behind the Asian record set by Park Tae-hwan five years ago, he smiled brightly with a thumbs up as he hung his first gold medal in an international competition.
