Thiruvananthapuram: The government has approved the guidelines for opening a school. Students only need to come to school with the consent of their parents. Classes for the first two weeks until noon. Saturday will be a working day. Lunch will be provided according to the circumstances of the school. The government wants all schools, including Kendriya Vidyalayas, to reopen.

The online class will continue even after the school reopens. Special timetable will be prepared. No more than 3 children will be allowed in autorickshaws. Sanitizer and mask will be provided to all students. Children’s body temperature will be checked. Doctor service will be ensured in schools. No one but parents and children will be admitted to the school. Children in a class are divided into groups. Two people on a bench. Uniforms and assembly are not mandatory for the first two weeks.

Teachers should be assigned to ensure that children do not congregate at school. Minister V Sivankutty said that the teachers should come to the school from the next academic day. Schools should provide transportation. KSRTC will provide assistance to those who are unable to do so. The ‘bio bubble’ method will be ensured in the classes to avoid interaction. The maintenance of the school bus will be carried out with the cooperation of the people. KSRTC buses will operate on bond basis. Unaided schools are more reliant on bond services. The bus concession will continue. Talks with private bus unions will be held next week. The guideline has 8 sections. The guidelines will be jointly implemented by the Departments of Education, Health, Transport, Public Works, Local Government and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
