Islamabad: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan was shot dead. He was reportedly shot in the leg. Senior leaders were also injured. The firing happened during a party rally. The attacker has been arrested.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party led by Imran Khan is holding a long march demanding that the date of the general elections be announced as soon as possible. The name of the march is ‘Haqeqi Azadi March’ from Liberty Chowk in Lahore to the capital Islamabad. It was decided to hold a grand closing general meeting for the parade which ends tomorrow. Imran Khan is followed by thousands in trucks, cars and bikes.
