Korean pan-government officials set up a ‘virtual asset (cryptocurrency) countermeasure team’ and went on a business trip to the US to understand the status of discussions on virtual asset regulation in the US.

According to E-Daily on the 23rd, the ‘Virtual Sazan Countermeasure Team’ is headed by Park Min-woo, head of the Financial Innovation Planning Team of the Financial Services Commission.

They are said to be discussing the US virtual asset regulation in the US, the ‘Luna incident’, and consulting with US officials on coin taxation, etc.

To this end, he plans to visit the U.S. financial regulators: the U.S. Stock Exchange (SEC), the Federal Reserve (FRB), the Monetary Commission (OCC), the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), and the Department of Justice.
