The hedgehog’s new peak, ‘Sonic Frontier’ cumulative sales of 3 million |

‘Sonic Frontier’, the latest game based on Sega’s representative IP ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’, has surpassed 3 million copies in cumulative worldwide sales. ‘Sonic’, which has been trying to make constant changes, such as introducing a 3D platformer and open world style, seems to be raising its past reputation again through ‘Sonic Frontier’.

On the 22nd, Sega announced on ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ official SNS that the cumulative worldwide sales of ‘Sonic Frontier’ exceeded 3 million copies. ‘Sonic Frontier’ was officially released in November last year, and left a meaningful record at the point where less than half a year had passed since its release.

The biggest feature of ‘Sonic Frontier’ is that it presents the same features as an open world game that can be enjoyed freely on one huge platform, unlike the current ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ series. In addition, the game has been well received by users by announcing a roadmap for free updates of new content after release, and focusing on post-launch support. The first related update, which includes a new challenge mode and difficulty level, is scheduled for delivery on the 23rd, and new characters and story expansions will be announced in the third update.

Meanwhile, ‘Sonic Frontier’ was officially released on November 8 last year via PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
