Kozhikode: A housewife who traveled 50 km to get vaccinated was denied the vaccine but when she reached home the health department issued a vaccine certificate. V Nadeera of Kozhikode Arakinar Tariq Manzil received the vaccine certificate without being vaccinated. Authorities said Nadeera could not be vaccinated because her registration was inaccurate.
Nadeera got the slot at Perambra Changaroth PHC when she registered for the vaccination. He came to Changaroo from Arakinar in a two-wheeler with his son but was sent back saying that the booking was not done correctly. But when I got back home, I received a message on the phone that the certificate could be downloaded.
The certificate contains his name, Aadhaar card number and the name of the vaccine. Nadeera wondered why the vaccine was returned without giving such accurate information. A complaint has been lodged with the district medical officer seeking action against the person who returned to the Changarote primary health center but was not given the vaccine.
