Kuwait City: An expatriate who entered Kuwait illegally escaped during deportation proceedings. During the checks carried out at the airport, it was found that he was banned from going to Kuwait. The process of repatriation then began and he was moved to an airport hotel. He escaped from there. He was caught later in the investigation.
He arrived at Kuwait International Airport from an African country and his fingerprints were checked when he arrived at the passport counter as part of completing the procedures. It was then that he realized he had been deported from Kuwait earlier and barred from returning. With this, he was handed over to the airport’s investigation team. He was moved to the airport hotel to complete the process and sent back. From there, he got out of the sight of the security personnel.
He informed the authorities that he was going from the hotel to the airport yard and from there he jumped the fence and got out. A high alert was then issued at the airport and an extensive investigation by various departments began. Following the incident, measures were taken to check the airport’s security systems and find loopholes.
