It is known that a detached house in Itaewon-dong, Seoul, owned by the late Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun-hee, has been put up for sale.
According to the real estate industry on the 25th, the land and houses in 101-34 and 135-35 Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul were up for sale.
The property for sale consists of 1 basement level and 2 above-ground buildings, A and B, on a site of 1,069 m2. Building A has a building area of 215 m2 and a total floor area of 488 m2, while Building B has a building area of 150 m2 and a total floor area of 327 m2.
The expected selling price is said to be 21 billion won. It is about 65 million won per 3.3 square meters. This is more than 5 billion won higher than this year’s announced price (15.46 billion won). According to the value map of a real estate information provider, the actual transaction price in the area is 59 million to 62 million won per 3.3 square meters.
The building was purchased by the late Chairman Lee Kun-hee in October 2010. When Chairman Lee passed away in October last year, ownership passed to former Leeum Art Museum Director Hong Ra-hee, Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, Hotel Shilla President Lee Boo-jin, and Samsung Welfare Foundation Chairman Lee Seo-hyun. The stake was divided by the four people in a 3:2:2:2: ratio.
