The legendary music player Winamp is making a comeback. In a new way! | DroidSans

Who can use an app to listen to common songs like Winamp Some raise your hand… Let me tell you, in the late 90’s to the early 2000s, every computer user should have the Winamp app installed to listen to their MP3s or music CDs. Until the popularity of this app steadily declined and closed in 2013, but most recently…Winamp. is coming back again After the movement on the website Winamp.com is open for interested people to sign up to become a Beta Tester.

For the return of Winamp this time will be a major remaster of the music app. The Winamp.com web page will see a new logo that is different from the original. The old Winamp logo is a lightning bolt. The new logo will be adjusted to look more modern and simple, just two lines opposite each other.

And on the web page also said that

“There’s going to be something big going on. We’re now building a next-gen Winamp that’s not just an update, it’s a brand new Winamp that will allow users to connect to their music on the go. And it will help you get closer to your favorite artists, and Winamp will be your home for podcasts, music and radio stations.”

Although there is no deeper information on how the new Winamp will turn out. But from the text on the web page, you can tell that it’s probably going to come out as an app for online music streaming. It’s similar to Spotify or Apple Music, but with some new features that are different from the competition.

And if anyone misses the atmosphere of listening to old music from the Winamp app, there is also a link to download Winamp version 5.8 for Windows on the web page. (This version suddenly appeared in 2018 after Winamp announced its closure in 2013.)

UI reminiscent of the good old days

Who cares what the new Winamp looks like? And what’s even cooler than any other music streaming app on the market right now, you can sign up as a Beta Tester at Winamp.com.
