The level of execution of the assessed annual work plan

The Minister of the Living Environment and Sustainable Development of the Living Environment and Sustainable Development, José Tonato proceeded on Friday February 3, 2023, to the official launch of the review of the Annual Work Plan (PTA) at the end of December 2022 of his Ministry . It was in the conference room of the Cotonou administrative tower that the work was held. This review was organized by the Programming and Forecasting Department (DPP), together with the program managers. During this review, the update of the efforts made by all the staff of the ministry and the structures under its supervision in the context of the execution of the budget for the December 2022 deadline was made. The performance of each program was analyzed and resolutions were taken for the year 2023. “The Pta 2022 was carried out in a context of improving the management rules in program mode”, reminded the DPAF before thanking the Minister José Tonato for facilitating things.

Officially opening the work, the Minister for the living environment and sustainable development first invited the audience to a meditation in memory of the agents who disappeared during the past year, without forgetting the victims of the tragedy of Sunday January 29, in Dassa. He then expressed his satisfaction in terms of the results obtained on behalf of the 2022 management. only to know how far we have come but above all to learn the lessons of driving our Pta last year and therefore perform better to achieve better rates. This allows us to take decisions on several levels, particularly in the conduct and evaluation of our action,” said Minister José Tonato, who thanked all his collaborators for their commitment. “I would like to tell you my satisfaction with the results that we achieved in 2022 and I am sure that with the same mobilization, the same commitment, we will push 2023 further than 2022”, suggested the minister who underlined that “as of December 31, 2022, the budget for this sector is executed at 79.49% despite the specifically difficult context”. This is a qualitative leap, positive compared to the year 2021 which the authority qualifies as “result of a collective commitment”.
