The Minister of Finance has done nothing to vaporize Governor – Prime Minister | The Finance Minister has done nothing to anger the Governor-Prime Minister

Thiruvananthapuram: Finance Minister KN Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan responded to a letter sent by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan asking that Balagopal has lost favor and appropriate action should be taken. The Prime Minister rejected the Governor’s call to sack the Finance Minister.

I have unwavering faith in the work of the Finance Minister. The minister has not said anything to disappoint the governor. What the minister said was examined based on democracy and constitutional principles. The minister has not made any statement that harms the unity of the country. In his reply, the First Minister said that he was convinced that the allegations were unfounded and that no further action was required in the Governor’s letter.

Explaining an incident at the Banaras Hindu University in an event held at the University of Kerala, the Finance Minister mentioned that people who come from there do not know what the state of the universities in Kerala is. This angered the governor.

According to the letter to the Prime Minister, the Finance Minister has made a deliberate comment that will destroy the unity of the country. In this case his permission cannot be continued. In the letter, the governor had instructed that he informs the Prime Minister about withdrawing his consent and that the Prime Minister should consider this seriously and act in accordance with the constitution.
