Ministry of Health responded to the idea of selling drugs in the post offices
The Ministry of Health is against the sale of medicines in the Russian Post offices, while it is ready to support the delivery of medicines by mail, Tass said on the sidelines of the Gaidar Forum director of the department of drug provision and regulation of medical products of the Ministry of Health Elena Maksimkina.
“No sale at the post office, no, the use of drug delivery services by the postman, yes, that is, we are ready to support,” she said. According to Maksimkina, medicine trade requires compliance with pharmacy practices and specialists who can give advice.
She added that a pharmaceutical license is also required for pharmaceutical activity, which can only be obtained by medical organizations or in regions with low population density obstetric points.
Earlier, the governor of the Murmansk region, Marina Kovtun, said on Instagram that she would turn to Veronika Skvortsova, the head of the Ministry of Health, and Nikolay Podguzov, the general director of Russian Post, with an initiative to sell drugs at post offices. She noted that she had learned from the news that they had started selling beer in the Post of Russia. “I understand that this problem is not simple, but it must be solved. And its solution would be much more useful than selling beer in the branches of the Post of Russia, said the governor.
