The Ministry of Science and ICT supports domestic digital companies to enter Vietnam

Two-day event ‘K-Global @ Vietnam 2023’ in Ho Chi Minh City

The government has stepped in to help domestic digital companies advance to Vietnam.

The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 8th that it will operate ‘K-Global @ Vietnam 2023’ for two days in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. A Korea-Vietnam digital technology cooperation forum and export/investment conference will be held, with the participation of 40 domestic digital companies, 4 universities sharing immersive media digital innovation, and 100 local buyers and investors in Vietnam.

This event, held for the first time this year, was ready to support domestic digital companies entering the Vietnamese market, where digital transformation and the digital economy are growing rapidly.

At the forum held on the day, Korea and Vietnam sought ways to cooperate in digital technology, and Bespin Global, which has infrastructure in Vietnam, shared examples of cooperation.

Companies from both countries have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the fields of smart mobility, online video service (OTT), and direct transmission, and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) is also working with Vietnamese technology companies and the Commercialization Development Agency (NATEC). to strengthen the support and cooperation of coordinated hands

Before the forum, 2nd Vice Minister of Science and ICT Park Yoon-kyu met with Vietnam’s Vice Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung to discuss ways to promote digital cooperation between the two countries and expand intergovernmental cooperation on digital transformation.

Vice Minister Park said, “We will actively provide necessary support through cooperation between the public and private sectors so that we can innovate overseas markets based on innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing.”
