The moth is no longer just an insect; Researchers set up life-saving PATA robots; ‘Robo-roaches’ with rescue mission

Insects Many people are scared when they see it. People with entomophobia will leave the area if they see a moth. Many people fear and hate insects because of their shape, color and speed of movement. But insects have certain characteristics. A group of scientists have taken advantage of that feature.

The team of researchers has turned PATA into a robot. It is called Robo Roach because it made Kokroch a robot. The researchers’ goal was to exploit the shape, size, and velocity of the butterfly. Robot roaches are used to find people lying under a collapsed building. Due to their small size, they can penetrate even the smallest of holes. This will help to detect the presence of humans and the presence of life among the remains.

As a result of the research that has been going on for the last 15 years, Dr. Robo Roach was developed by Hirotaka Sato. He is a researcher at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

The researchers used special crocodiles from Madagascar. Crocodiles move based on sensors mounted on their backs. The sensors are equipped with algorithms that help detect life. Therefore, these are not remote control based robots.

The backpack is equipped with a communication chip, a carbon dioxide sensor, a motion sensor and an infrared camera. The mission of robot roaches is to detect movements, detect the presence of carbon dioxide, and detect body temperature.
