Kochi: Police have registered a case against Anitha Pullayil, a friend of Monson Mavungal, accused in an antiquities fraud case. The case was registered against Anita for revealing the name of the victim in the rape case. It is alleged that Anita released the name and pictures of the woman who had lodged the rape complaint against Monson. The woman herself had lodged a complaint against Anita.
IPC A case has been registered against Anitha Pullayil under Section 228A (1). This is an offense punishable by up to two years. According to the police, the motive behind the release of the name and pictures of the victim and whether there was any animosity towards the girl is under investigation.
