Dhe football third division club 1. FC Kaiserslautern has agreed after a weeks-long hanging game on a collaboration with the Luxembourg entrepreneur Flavio Becca. This was announced by the club on Thursday. Thus, it does not come to the announced by lender Quattrex retreat. The economic imbalance is thus initially corrected, the license for the upcoming third league season should be secured.
In a council meeting on Thursday, the five-member panel voted 3: 2 votes in favor of Becca's entry and against the investment of a regional investor group. Michael Littig, Advisory Board member and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the e.V., subsequently resigned from his office. Details and contents of the cooperation between Becca and the FCK are not yet known. About two weeks ago Becca offered the Fritz Walter Club a loan of 2.6 million euros and put up to 25 million in the next five years in prospect.
At the same time, however, he made the demand that Littig should resign from his offices, so the deal initially failed. Whether these sums and the demand for resignation are also part of the now negotiated agreement is still unclear. Littig justified his decision now, according to the club's announcement, "that he wants to bring calm to the committees and make an important contribution to the pacification within 1. FC Kaiserslautern".
