Qatar recorded a huge increase in the number of air passengers last year. The increase is 101.9 percent compared to 2021. More than three and a half million people arrived at Hamad Airport in 2022. The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority has released air passenger figures for 2022.
More than 3 crore 57 lakh passengers traveled through Hamad International Airport last year. In 2021, it was 17,70,000. The football World Cup is the reason for the increase in the number of passengers. There has been an increase of more than 28 per cent in the number of air services. At the same time, there was an 11 per cent reduction in cargo air service, according to figures released by the Civil Aviation Authority.
