Chef Lee Yeon-bok said that the reason for the closure of the Busan branch of ‘Mokran’, which was famous enough to become a Busan specialty, was not because of the shortage but because of the lack of jobs.

Chef Lee Yeon-bok appeared on KBS 2TV’s ‘The Boss’s Ears are Donkey’s Ears’ broadcast on the 28th. On this day, Chef Lee Yeon-bok gave a special lecture to students with Chef Jeong Ho-young. Before that, Chef Lee Yeon-bok and Chef Jeong Ho-young talked about the reality of the decrease in the number of students who choose chefs as their hope for the future.

Chef Lee Yeon-bok said, “It seems that there aren’t as many people who dream of becoming chefs as in the past.” Busan Mokrando’s business was very good. It was a famous dish in Busan. But not were there any people. I’d rather close the door.”

Chef Jung Ho-young also agreed, “It’s definitely decreased compared to a few years ago,” and said, “I don’t think it’s my favorite job because the kitchen has to himself to be in front of the fire.”

The Chinese restaurant ‘Mokran’, which symbolizes Chef Lee Yeon-bok, was operated in two branches in Seoul and Busan. At the time, some media said that the reason for closing was loss, but at the time, Chef Lee Yeon-bok corrected the misunderstanding, saying, “Actually, Busan is closing due to a shortage of manpower, and Seoul (Mokran) . ) was in the red last year.”
