The planting of young trees along “Sheynovo” continues, there will be a total of 100

Waterworks continues to gradually excavate sections of Sheynovo Street to replace the old pipes. Immediately after them, the Municipality of Burgas enters the field. It carries out a complete reconstruction, which includes the construction of a new road surface with sidewalks, installation of new lighting, planting of new trees. This is a commitment undertaken by the mayor Dimitar Nikolov. The part of the street between Ivan Vazov Blvd. and the kindergarten next to the Opera House is now ready. Today, the new trees were planted on the side of the small park between Elektroto and the RDVR building. They are of the columnar sycamore species. The new asphalt road surface will be poured there very soon. It is planned that the Municipality will plant 100 young trees along the entire “Sheynovo” street. The renovation preserves some of the old ones, which are healthy and safe. In recent years, the Municipality of Burgas has been applying new practices in its landscaping activities, choosing species that are adapted to changes in the climate, the size of the streets and the infrastructure below them. Unfortunately, last fall’s fall storm downed over 1,000 trees across the city. It’s a miracle that no one was injured. It will take several years to recover these losses, but the Municipality of Burgas has already started this process.
