The population of Dori expresses its gratitude to the Combatant Forces and challenges
Dori, (AIB)-The D27 Movement organized a demonstration of support and recognition for the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) on the morning of Saturday May 27, 2023 in Dori , capital of the Sahel region. The populations also submitted grievances to the authorities for the improvement of the security situation.
From 8 a.m., the Arba Hama Diallo roundabout began to fill with people made up of women, young people, men and even the elderly. Each held either a Burkinabè flag or a Russian flag or a sign with messages of support for the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the President of the Transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
Through this act, the populations of Dori responded to the call of the D27 Movement and met at the Arba Hama Diallo roundabout to show their support and recognition for the FDS and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in the morning of Saturday May 27, 2023.
According to the secretary general of the D27 Movement Abdoul-Aziz Dicko, it was crucial to pay a vibrant tribute to the valiant FDS and VDP who night and day spare no effort to secure the Burkinabe territory.
“Lately, some people want to surf on certain tragic events to discredit the efforts of our FDS, leaders and sometimes going so far as to physically attack our community leaders. These evil forces are internal and external. And under no circumstances should we allow anyone to destroy us by sowing division and chaos in our country,” he told protesters.
To this end, Mr. Dicko considered that the mission to be accomplished is to defend the homeland. To do this, he quoted the psychiatrist, essayist and anti-colonialist fighter from Martinique Frantz Fanon in these terms “Each generation must in relative opacity, face its mission: fulfill it or betray it”.
In response, the Secretary General of the D27 Movement said that “if some, in lack of love and in the name of their selfish interests are ready to betray, we comrades patriots, have the duty to fulfill it. Fulfill it valiantly so that our children and grandchildren can live in the homeland of their ancestors in complete serenity and dignity”.
To achieve this objective, he asked the people to remain mobilized, united around the only fight worth fighting, that of the fight for the sovereignty of Burkina Faso.
In other words, he asked for and wished for the strengthening of trust between the populations first, then between them and the FDS, VDP as well as the authorities. For him, trust between different entities will guarantee the return of peace and stability to the Land of Upright Men.
know the enemy
Faced with a crowd mobilized despite the blazing sun, Abdoul-Aziz Dicko also told the demonstrators to know their enemy. In his opinion, the enemy is neither peulh, nor mossi, nor foulsé, nor bobo, nor gouroussi, nor tamatcket, nor gourmantché, nor this shepherd, the other in turban, even less the soldier or this volunteer animated by bravery and love for country. “Our only enemy is this terrorist who is armed, wants to destabilize our country and attacks all ethnic and religious communities without distinction,” said the secretary general of the D27 Movement.
He seized the opportunity to make grievances which can be summed up in 11 points against the highest authorities of Burkina Faso.
He cited, among other things, the reopening and securing of RN3, the restoration and stabilization of electricity in the cities of the Sahel region, the availability of hydrocarbons for the benefit of the populations, the good civil-military collaboration, the allocation of ONEA with adequate materials and the provision of quality equipment to the FDS and VDPs.
Addressing the President of the Transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Abdoul-Aziz Dicko confided that the Movement as well as the numerous populations that have left remain by its side, and by the side of all the men and women who are fighting to save the Burkina Faso.
“No state, no individual, however cynical, can discourage us. Not even these powers and their supporters. We have begun the radiant march of our nation and nothing can hinder it. This insecurity will be overcome and we trust our valiant FDS and VDP fighters whom we support,” concluded the secretary of the D27 Movement.
