In general, the Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road is 97.99 kilometers long and is divided into five sections, namely Balikpapan Section 5 (13 kilometers)-Xuepinggan Sepinggan (11.09 kilometers) Section, Balikpapan Section Section 1 (13 kilometers)-Samboja (Km 13), with a total length of 22.03 Km), Samboja-Muara Jawa (Muara Jawa) Section 2 (30.98 Km), Java estuary Muara Jawa-Pa Section 3 (17.30 Km) of the Palaran section and section 4 (16.59 Km) of the Palaran-Samarinda section.

There are 4 toll stations on the Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road, namely GT Manggar, GT Karang Joang, GT Samboja and GT Palaran toll stations. In addition, this toll road is also equipped with two A-level rest areas. The rest stops at 37 kilometers in the direction of Balikpapan and 36 kilometers in the direction of Samarinda have been completed and will be operated by PT Jasamarga, a subsidiary of Jasa Marga.
