The purple wave dyed in LA… Koreatown is booming in ‘BTS special’

LA, where BTS’s first face-to-face concert was held since the corona crisis, has created a ‘purple wave’ with fans from all over the world.

It is said that Koreatown enjoyed an untimely boom thanks to the popularity of BTS.

Reporter Kim Eun-kyung visited the site.

During the BTS concert, the area around the venue was crowded.

The queue to buy BTS goods continued from the day before the concert, and resale tickets soared nearly ten times the original price.

It is estimated that about 200,000 BTS fans from all over the world, including Mexico and Canada, gathered in LA.

The city has been revitalized as passengers flock to Los Angeles flights as well as accommodations near the venues.
