Vijay Sethupathi says that the inspiration to act in the film was a cartoon. Vijay Sethupathi said this in an interview with Club FM as part of the promotion of the film Mamanithan.

“We hear and see many things. One day he was returning from work at eight o’clock at night. While walking I saw a cartoon by L’Oreal and Hardy. In it I saw them saying ‘I am a bird’. After saying this for several days, one day they turned into a bird.

For about a year and a half since then, before I went to bed I kept saying that I would be a good actor and that I would be a good actor. I also believed that it would happen someday. But there was a feeling that nothing would happen then. Because my family was living off my salary.

Yet I just kept saying it. I have a feeling that if I grow wings because I keep telling someone this, then something will happen to me too, ”said Vijay Sethupathi.

Under the banner of YSR Productions, Yuvan Shankar Raja and R.K. The film is being produced by Suresh’s Studio 9. KPAC Lalitha and Guru Somasundaram play two important roles in the film which is set in a rural setting.
