Washington: Russia’s Wagner Mercenary Group has been declared an extraterritorial criminal organization by the United States. It is estimated that 50,000 soldiers from this group are fighting against Ukraine. This group is used by Russia for military operations around the world.
White House national security spokesman John Kirby said Wagner was owned by Yevgeny Prigozhin, a businessman with close ties to President Vladimir Putin. Kirby said Wagner, a criminal organization, was involved in widespread gang violence and human rights violations. Kirby also released footage of North Korea transferring arms to Wagner for a military hunt in Ukraine.
