The Russians have a shortage of ammunition: They also use DISCONTINUED cartridges

In its Tuesday morning summary of the situation in Ukraine, the British Ministry of Defense writes that Russian troops on the front are experiencing a serious lack of ammunition, DPA reported.

“In recent weeks, the shortage of ammunition for Russian artillery has probably worsened to such an extent that extremely tight rationing limits have been imposed on many parts of the front. This has almost certainly been the reason why Russian troops have not been able to mount any significant offensive operations of late,” states the British Ministry.

According to him, due to the lack of ammunition, Russia reached for old stocks, which were previously categorized as unsuitable for use.

The British ministry also states that Russia is increasingly applying directive methods in managing its military-industrial complex, because it realizes that its defense production capabilities are a vulnerable point of the so-called of a special military operation, as the invasion of neighboring Ukraine is officially called in Russia.
