Have you ever searched ‘why are you tired even if you are sleeping’ or ‘why is it hard to get up in the morning’ in the search box? We always feel tired and heavy, but we often find stimulating and sweet foods and eat them to relieve stress. These eating habits lead to minor but minor illnesses such as indigestion and reflux oesophagitis, which reduce the quality of life. a book says that all diseases, from minor illnesses experienced by modern humans to major diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, are linked to ‘immunity’. The author, who worked at the National Cancer Center and Seoul National University Medical Research Institute, emphasizes that if you correct your body routine and develop immunity, you can escape from various diseases and live life healthy

What is Immunity?

It refers to the power of our body to process pathogens such as bacteria and viruses or foreign substances produced in the body. In other words, it is the ability to resist germs by producing antibodies against germs, viruses and foreign substances that enter the body.

Immunity is a problem when its power is too weak, and it becomes a problem when it is too strong. If the immune system is weak, it cannot fight against pathogens, and if it is too strong, the body attacks itself. A condition where the body attacks itself is called an autoimmune disease. This is often caused by an immune imbalance due to various factors rather than a genetic field inherited from parents.

Immunity is the most important factor in keeping the body in good condition. Then, what should the immune system do to work exquisitely and well? Metabolic activity must be maintained smoothly throughout the body. In other words, when the necessary nutrients for the body are properly supplied and waste products are well released, immunity becomes stronger.

Meaning ‘Eat healthy, live well, live well’

In order to fill our body properly with nutrients, we need to check our eating habits. You need to make sure that you are not eating foods that cause toxins to build up in your body, and that you are not overeating. Due to Corona virus 19, various nutrients are not included equally in the delivery food, high carbohydrate, and animal protein focused diet. In particular, fiber is excluded, so it is difficult to ‘digest’. If our body does not digest food completely, toxins build up in the body. This is the same reason that overeating is bad for the body. It causes the body not to digest everything normally, leading to a build-up of toxins.

In the case of immunocompromised people, it is necessary to check whether the ‘detoxification’ and ‘release’ of the waste products is going well. When unnecessary things build up in the body, our body’s cells try to get rid of them, and inflammation occurs in this process. If this continues, microscopic inflammation turns into long-term inflammation, causing various diseases.

The author emphasizes that for our bodies to be healthy, complete digestion is necessary so that waste products and toxins do not accumulate. However, digestion can only be thought of as stomach health, but it is not just a matter of stomach health. Digestion is also related to the liver, kidneys, and lymph, and the book gives two main reasons for this.

1. The liver produces immune substances

Organs responsible for immunity include bone marrow, lymph nodes, immune cells in the blood, and immune cells in the submucosa. Nutrients that produce these immune cells and proteins are produced in the liver. If the liver is healthy, it produces this nutrient well, but if the liver function is poor, it cannot produce it properly. In addition, the liver is an important organ directly related to the body’s metabolism and the health of the kidneys, gall bladder and lungs.

As the ‘detox factory’, the liver needs to be given time to rest. If the liver continues to work to eliminate toxins that continue to accumulate in the body, the liver is bound to be damaged. Food that is not completely digested here makes the liver work for a long time and causes toxins to accumulate in the body. In order to give the liver a ‘rest’ we should aim for a diet that focuses on fiber rather than a diet that focuses on animal protein, and reduce food intake so that our body can digest food properly .

2. The Importance of Lymph Circulation

The 500 lymph nodes in the body are channels through which immune cells move. Lymph plays a role in removing fat and waste and getting rid of germs and viruses. It sends toxins to the liver so they can be sent out of the body.

If the lymph is not circulated, bile secretion is not smooth, so the digestion is not good, and the inside becomes swollen and uncomfortable. This causes toxins to build up in the body, eventually making it a ‘composition’ that makes it easy to get sick.

For the lymph to circulate smoothly, you need to move your body. It is good to do enough physical activity so that the lymph can move, and avoid tight clothes, belts, high shoes, etc. which block the lymph.
