The former cricketer has ridiculed the Indian cricket team selectors for ignoring Virat Kohli’s role in the ODI captaincy.
“The current Indian cricket team selectors are all very good. But one thing we all need to understand is that the Indian selectors have not played even half of the international matches played by Virat Kohli. The question here is how it was adopted, ”Keerthi Azad said.
“I do not think Kohli is very upset about changing the captain,” he said. But he is very disappointed with the way it has been adopted. This was observed during my tenure as selector. But it is for this reason that the decision was made today. The BCCI president should have had better communication with Virat Kohli after deciding on this, ”the former player observed.
