The shot in the net hit Shan Masood on the head; Muhammad Nawaz is still in shock (Video)

Melbourne: Pakistan’s leading batsman Shah Masood suffered a head injury during practice. The incident happened during the Pakistan cricket team’s net session at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Shaan Masood was hit on the head by the shot of Muhammad Nawaz who was batting in the nets. Muhammad Nawaz attempted a lofted shot against the spinner here. Shan was waiting for his chance to bat in the nets with his pads on. He was not wearing a helmet.

The 33-year-old player from Pakistan fell to the ground in pain after being hit on the head by the ball. The team doctor arrived and examined Shaan Masood. Pakistan vice-captain Shadab Khan said the ball landed in a sensitive area.

But the scan revealed that Shan Masood had no other problems. A video of Mohammad Nawaz in shock after his shot hit Shaan Masood’s head has also gone viral on social media.
