The southern Ukrainian Kherson is also moving forward … The liberation of dozens of villages Zelensky

‘Ukrainian flag’ everywhere in the south… Access video to Ukraine on social media

The Ukrainian army has launched a major counter-offensive regardless of Russia’s declaration to annex the occupied territories and it is producing results in the north-east and the southern region of Kherson.

The New York Times (NYT) and BBC Broadcasting reported on the 4th (local time) that Ukrainian forces are occupying small towns in Kherson one after another and expanding the recaptured area.

On the same day, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense released a video showing the 35th Marine Brigade raising the Ukrainian flag over a communications tower in David Ubrid, Kherson Province.

In the video, the Marines shouted “Glory to Ukraine, Glory to the Marines,” the New York Times reported.

David Ubrid is a strategic location in the region, to the north-east of the city of Kherson, the capital of Kherson Province, the BBC explained.

Similar videos are also spreading on social media, the New York Times added.

Local Ukrainian media Skapravda reported that Ukrainian frontline troops had also recaptured other villages in the south.

The BBC said that Ukrainian forces have been advancing along the west bank of the Dnipro River in the south during the past 48 hours.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a speech to the nation that night that “the army is making a swift and powerful move” and that it “liberated dozens of villages this week alone.”

In his speech, he listed the names of the free settlements: Luvimiuka, Khreshchenivka, Zolotabalka, Blyayuka, Ukraine, Velika Oleksandriuka, Mala Oleksandriuka, etc. “he emphasized.

The Deputy Minister of the Interior of Ukraine, Yevheny Jenin, said that 3,500 people had been restored to freedom in 50 villages in Kherson.

However, it was not revealed how long this was carried out.

Kherson in southern Ukraine, near Crimea, has been considered a key geopolitical location.

As a representative port city with the largest population among the cities lost to Russia, its importance to the Ukrainian economy was very high.

At the beginning of the war, the Russian army easily captured Kherson through a mass attack through the Crimea.

Although the Ukrainian Army has achieved remarkable successes in the northeastern region of Kharkiv recently, it appears to be focused solely on blocking Russian supply lines in Kherson.

However, this time, they went on a blitzkrieg, defeating the Russian army and securing a large number of settlements.

For Russia, losing Kherson could be another humiliating loss.

Russia is trying to forcefully annex Kherson along with Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporiza despite fierce criticism from the international community.

However, Russian President Vladimir Putin, who pushed ahead with the annexation by exposing loopholes in local governance before the merger was even completed, had no choice but to lose face.

According to the BBC, the pro-Russian administration of the city of Kherson, established by the Russian army, has given local residents “no need to panic”.
