Afghanistan has been taken over by the Islamic militant group, Afghanistan.

According to India’s ANI news agency on the 6th (local time), the de facto leader of the Taliban, Abdul Ghani Bardar, was wounded in Kabul over the suppression of the National Resistance Front (NRF) gathered in the Panjisir Valley.

The faction of Bardar, who is in charge of politics and diplomacy and is the president of the new government the Taliban is contemplating, and the ‘Haqqani Network’, which show the most extremist tendencies within the Taliban, fired at each other.

The Haqqani Network is a notorious Afghan militant group, joined when the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in 1996 and has been the ‘right-hand man of the Taliban’ by committing suicide bombings, kidnappings and assassinations.

Its founder, Jalaludin Haqqani, had previously served as a minister during the Taliban regime, and after his death, Shirazuddin Haqqani became deputy Taliban leader in 2015.

They also have a significant stake in the new Taliban government. Syrazuddin Haqqani’s younger brother Anas Haqqani is already participating as a Taliban representative in negotiations to form a new government. It is known that his younger brother, Anas Hakani, was involved in this infighting.

According to local media, Haqqani took a firm stance that he should suppress the Panjishir Valley, where the resistance forces had gathered, by force, but Vardar took a moderate position, ordering the attack to be restrained.

In the end, on the 3rd, the differences of opinion between the two could not be narrowed, and an internal shooting broke out.

A Twitter account carrying the friendly news of the resistance claimed that “Bardar has ordered his men to return to Kabul without fighting in Panjisir.”

The Taliban has not yet made an official statement on the matter. However, the announcement of the new government cabinet, which was supposed to take place on the 3rd, has been delayed until next week.

Foreign media, such as Russia’s Sputnik news agency, speculated that the reason for the delay in the Cabinet announcement was the infighting between Vardar and the Hakhani network.
