Shanghai Securities News (Reporter Gao Zhigang) As of June 21, the three major operators have released operational data for May, and the total number of 5G users has approached 900 million, which means that most users have upgraded to 5G. Among them, China Mobile’s 5G package users have the fastest growth rate, accounting for the vast majority of users.

Specifically, the number of China Mobile 5G package customers has a net increase of 18.213 million, reaching a total of 495 million, accounting for more than half of the number of 5G users. Second is China Telecom, with a net increase of 7.04 million 5G package users, reaching a total of 224 million. The last is China Unicom, with 4.936 million new 5G package users, reaching a total of 179.7 million. The data shows that the total number of users of the three 5G packages has reached 898.7 million, and the 5G network has been rapidly popularized in my country.

In terms of market structure, China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile accounted for 24.92%, 20.02%, and 55.06% of 5G package users, respectively, a decrease of 0.05, 0.12, and an increase of 0.17 percentage points, respectively, compared with April. The data shows that China Mobile’s 5G penetration continues to accelerate, and its “first brother” status continues to strengthen.
