Mr Arkhom said that in the last 2 years, the problem of COVID, the conflict in Europe. affecting energy costs The cost of finance is rising, leading to the problem of inflation. high interest cost causing household debt And the public debt rose to 89%, so the government focused on solving debt problems. and set it as a national agenda and mission of the Ministry of Finance and state financial institutions involved in solving debt problems, risking debts, allowing people to escape debt traps
For organizing the fair to solve debt is a collaboration between the Ministry of Finance Bank of Thailand and the Association of State Financial Institutions Held since 2022, 5 times in Bangkok, Khon Kaen, Chiang Mai, Chonburi and the last time in Songkhla. This event is a collaboration between 4 financial institutions, including the Export-Import Bank of Thailand. (Exim Bank), Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand (SME Bank), Islamic Bank of Thailand (Ibank) and Small Industry Credit Guarantee Corporation (TCG) to cover 5 times of the event, about 500,000 people will register to resolve their debts, with a total debt of around 2-3 billion baht.
