Joe Biden’s US administration has completed a review of its North Korean policy since its inception in January.
According to the Reuters news agency on the 30th of last month (local time), White House spokesman Jen Saki made this announcement to reporters aboard the presidential aircraft, Air Force One.
“The US goal remains to be a complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula,” said Saki. “The US policy will not require a’grand bargain’ with North Korea.”
“The US policy will require a subtle and practical approach to North Korea’s denuclearization,” he added.
On this day, spokesman Saki used the expressions’complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula’ and’denuclearization of North Korea’ together. ‘North Korea’s denuclearization’ is an expression that specifies the object to be abolished as a nuclear weapon developed by North Korea. It is interpreted with the intention to block the possibility that North Korea will demand the withdrawal of US troops in Korea and the withdrawal of strategic weapons on the basis of’complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula’.
In addition, Saki said that the summit meeting between President Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet been confirmed.
