They are back! This is what you need to know about the tick season

TUSCARAWAS County, Ohio-Tick season is held in Tuscarawas County and health officials are trying to ensure that you are prepared.

In a recent Facebook post, Tuscawaras Health Department issued advice on ticks, spider relatives and surviving by feeding animal and human blood.

They say that Lyme disease is sent to humans and animals through infected ticks. Typical symptoms of the disease include fever, headache, fatigue, and skin rash that looks at the eye of bulls. Most of the cases can be treated with antibiotics.

The use of insect leaks, rapid removal of ticks and the application of pesticides can prevent the disease.

In 2018, there were nine suspected cases and 16 confirmed cases of human Lyme disease.
