‘They must be punished’; The car crashed into the lorry after the FB posted, a mystery in death

Thiruvananthapuram: A father and son were killed when a tipper lorry collided with a car in Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram. A Facebook post came out indicating that her death was a suicide. The deceased have been identified as Prakash Devarajan, 50, of Manikandeshwa and his son Sivadev, 12.

The car they were traveling in collided with a tanker lorry at around 12 last night. The car was heading towards Attingal when it collided with an oncoming lorry.

Prakash died instantly in the accident. Shivadev was taken to hospital after his car was smashed but he died on the way.

Police received a note suspected to have been written by Prakash from the car. Also, Prakash’s post on Facebook before his death hinted at suicide. “I urge those responsible for the deaths of me and my children to be brought to justice and given maximum punishment,” Prakash said in a Facebook post. Pictures of both have been posted.

Prakash is said to have been plagued by some financial and family problems.
