Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is expected to find users with new news after a long time. On June 2 (local time), SIE announced the progress of the showcase ‘State of Play’ to deliver news of new games to be released on its PS platform.
This State of Play will not focus on news from major studios affiliated with Sony, but news from third-party affiliates and new works based on the new VR device ‘PS VR2’. The event on the day will be held for about 30 minutes, and information on related titles is hidden.
As the event is held for the first time in about three months since March, PS users’ expectations are very high. News related to exclusive new games such as ‘God of War Ragnarok’ will not be delivered, but large-scale news from major game companies that are scheduled to be released on PS4 and PS5 in the future are also expected to gather a lot of anticipation. In particular, in the case of PS VR2-based new games, as the release of more than 20 launching titles was foretold, the State of Play is expected to draw a lot of attention as the related news is delivered.
Meanwhile, ‘State of Play’ in June will be held from 7 am on June 3 in Korea.
