The stars arrived at the 94th Oscars announcing their solidarity with the Ukrainian people passing through the Russian occupation. Most of the stars came to the awards ceremony wearing blue ribbons with the refugees written on them. The campaign was spearheaded by the UN refugee agency.

Jason Momoa, who starred in Seven Oscars’ Dune, arrived in the pocket of a blue and yellow scarf coat with the Ukrainian flag. Presenter Jamie Lee Curtis came on stage with a blue ribbon tied around his finger. Many players have expressed support for Ukraine in different ways.

At the same time, messages seeking support for Ukraine also appeared at the Oscars. Cinema is the main means of expressing our humanity in times of conflict, and millions of people in Ukraine need food, medical care, clean water and emergency services. The message is that the global community must stand together and help the people of Ukraine.
