Conte took over as Tottenham’s manager in November of last year and changed the team. Tottenham Hotspur, who had been sluggish, finished fourth in the English Premier League (EPL) in the 2021-2022 season and won a ticket to the UEFA Champions League. However, during the season, there were rumors of a transfer for Conte. Conte also did not give a definitive answer about his whereabouts.
Conte is on vacation after the season, but there is a story that he has decided to stay after receiving the club’s massive investment. Italian soccer reporter Fabricio Romano said on his SNS on the 28th (Korean time), “Conte has decided to stay with Tottenham for the next season. He seems undoubtedly the situation.”
According to multiple media reports, Tottenham Hotspur received an investment of 150 million pounds (237.5 billion won). A significant portion of this amount is expected to be used to sign players. British media ‘Football London’ added that ‘this summer, coach Conte will help form the squad he has been dreaming of’. Tottenham had fun with Klusevsky and Bentancourt from Juventus (Italy) in the transfer window last winter.
