WalletHub Ranked Neighborhood number Howard County on its list of 182 cities. They compared cities across three main dimensions – home & community safety, natural disaster risk and financial safety.
Columbia ranked third for community safety, 63 for natural disaster risk and 77 for financial safety.
Calvin Ball, County Executive, asked for the results of “a record of our excellent quality of life in Howard County.” T
“As we celebrate our first year in office this week, Howard County and Columbia are honored to be named“ City Safest in America ”by WalletHub for the second year running,” said Ball in a statement. “I would like to thank our police officers, firefighters and paramedics, social workers, community advocates, and work with residents to work together to achieve this honor for our community again.” T
Yonkers, New York, came second, and Plano, Texas later, and Gilbert, Arizona.
Baltimore numbered 158 in total – ranking 160 for safety, 67 for natural disaster risk and 157 for financial risk.
DSC ranked 167, Philadelphia was 169, Pittsburgh 142, Dover had 67 and Wilmington ranked 144th.
