Three students killed in US hurricane-strikes One man of Indian descent

Three students have died in the aftermath of a tornado that swept across the US. Nicholas Nair, Gavin Short and Drake Brooks, students at the University of Oklahoma in the United States, have died. Of these, Nicholas Nair is of Indian descent. The incident happened 137 kilometers north of Oklahoma City on Tonkawa on Interstate 35 Highway. The vehicle they were traveling in overturned during the cyclone and collided with another vehicle.

All three are meteorology students at the University of Oklahoma. The death occurred during an attempt to conduct research following a tornado as part of the study. In addition to these, some other students at the University of Oklahoma went in special groups to follow the hurricane. Many people in the United States try to follow tornadoes. These are known as Storm Catchers.

Nicholas Nair is a student from Denton, Oklahoma. Son of KG Nair and Kate Nair. Nicholas also has a brother, Krishna Nair. Kate and Krishna say that watching and following hurricanes has been a favorite pastime of Nicholas since he was a child.

The hurricane was reported to be moving at a speed of 270 kilometers per hour. More than a thousand homes and buildings were destroyed in Kansas, and a 30-kilometer stretch of road was destroyed. The worst-hit areas are Wichita, Andover, Kansas. There were power outages in some places for days. Fifteen thousand people still do not have access to electricity.
