Corinthians has established a deadline for negotiations with Caixa Econômica Federal regarding the naming rights of Neo Química Arena, aiming to settle the club’s stadium debt through a potential agreement modeled after Palmeiras’ deal with Nubank.

The club has set a timeline for the upcoming week to finalize discussions with the state-owned bank, which currently holds a debt of approximately R$ 660 million from the stadium’s construction. Corinthians president Osmar Stabile has been leading the negotiations, with multiple meetings already held to discuss the valuation of the arena’s naming rights.

According to journalist Samir Carvalho, Corinthians intends to use Palmeiras’ agreement with Nubank as a benchmark for its negotiations. The Palmeiras deal, valued at around R$ 52 to R$ 53 million annually, serves as the reference point for what Corinthians hopes to secure from Caixa.

Samir Carvalho reported that Corinthians is considering a 10-year contract worth between R$ 520 million and R$ 530 million, which would closely align with the current stadium debt. The club has also indicated openness to a 15-year agreement at R$ 52 million per year, stating that such terms would effectively settle the obligation.

The existing naming rights contract with Hypera Pharma, signed in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, provides 20 annual payments of R$ 15 million, adjusted for inflation. Each yearly payment now amounts to roughly R$ 21 million, totaling R$ 300 million over the contract’s duration.

Corinthians has explored alternative partners for the naming rights, including interest from Hypera Pharma, betting firms, and banking company PicPay. However, the primary focus remains on reaching an agreement with Caixa that would allow the club to transfer the naming rights in exchange for debt settlement.

Internally, club officials view the potential deal as well advanced, with some describing the negotiations as optimistic. A new agreement is seen as a viable path to resolve the long-standing stadium debt while securing a commercial partner for the venue’s naming rights.
