Today, there are 16,700 Kovid cases in the country, the highest number of patients in 71 days

In metro cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune and Nashik, the number of cases is on the rise.

Delhi: Along with Omicron, covid cases are also on the rise in the country. Today, the number of Kovid cases rises to 16,700 per day. The highest daily covid cases in the last 71 days occurred in 24 hours. The biggest increase was in nine metro cities. The highest number of cases were reported in metro cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune and Nashik. The only consolation is that the mortality rate is relatively lower than it was at the beginning of the last Kovid wave. There are fears that the spread of Kovid in major cities of the country could affect industries and other sectors and could lead to economic setbacks.

Omicon cases are also on the rise in the country. Omicron is most prevalent in Delhi and Mumbai. As the situation in Maharashtra worsened, the government tightened controls. Only 50 people will be allowed for weddings. India’s first Omikron death confirmed in Maharashtra yesterday Omikron died in Pimpri-Chinchwad. A 52-year-old man from Nigeria died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment. The cause of death was a heart attack. Omikron was later confirmed in a sample test conducted at the Institute of Virology, Pune.

The Ministry of Health has said that the high prevalence of omicron has led to an increase in Kovid cases. States have tightened controls on New Year’s celebrations in the wake of the outbreak.

Control in Kerala too

The state will tighten night restrictions tonight to celebrate the New Year. Police checks will be intensified after 10 p.m. No crowded event will be allowed after 10 p.m. Only go out for essentials. Those who go out should carry a self-prepared certificate. The regulation also applies to churches. Hotels, restaurants, bars and clubs have to close by 10 p.m. The night curfew came into effect in the state around 10 pm last night. Yesterday, the police avoided most of the draconian measures, including fines, but today there will be no compromise. The nightly restriction is until Sunday, according to Omikron
