Reporters reported that The Ministry of Public Health has released a preliminary daily report on the situation of “COVID-19”. As of January 17, 2022, there were 6,929 new cases, 6,720 cases were domestically infected and 209 were imported cases. There are cumulative patients (since January 1, 2022) totaling 107,979 cases.

While 5,255 recovered, the cumulative total (since January 1, 2022) totals 58,772, 82,210 are being treated and 13 people have died.
