Lee Jae-myung, Yoon Seok-yeol, Shim Sang-jung, and Ahn Cheol-soo, the four presidential candidates from the ruling and opposition parties, will participate in the second courtroom TV debate held by the National Election Commission at 8 pm tonight.

Following the first discussion on solutions and economic policies in the Corona era, the second discussion will be held under the themes of ‘reorganization of power structure’ and ‘inter-Korean relations and foreign and security policies’.

Candidate Jae-myung Lee, who just announced the political reform plan yesterday, is expected to try to form a consensus with Candidates Sang-Jeong Shim and Cheol-Soo Ahn today with the multi-party coalition politics as a link.

In the field of diplomacy and security, it is expected that there will be a debate between the candidates regarding the diplomatic response of the Korean government to the Russian invasion of Ukraine yesterday and the inter-Korean policy.

In particular, as candidates Lee Jae-myung and Yun Seok-yeol have been in conflict over the additional deployment of THAAD and North Korea policy, a major clash is expected in this foreign and security debate.

In addition, each party’s negativity against the opposing candidates has become even stronger, with the suspicions of Deutsche Motors stock price manipulation by Kim Kun-hee, the spouse of candidate Yun Seok-yeol, the suspicion of Yoon’s investigation into three-part construction, the suspicion of Kim Hye-kyung, the spouse of Lee Jae-myung, and the use of an official car by candidate Lee. A brawl between the candidates is expected even over the suspicion of involvement in the development.
